1-bedroom properties are as the name suggests, those that have one allocated bedroom. It is the smallest residential unit that has a separate sleeping area. This type of property would suit a single person or couple that prefer to have a separate sleeping area to their living area. There are 1-bedroom apartments available that are advertised as having a separate office room too within the apartment which is great for some extra useful space. It is advisable to check the facilities being offered and also the layout of the apartment as some agents do not always list all the amenities fully. It is possible to find 1-bedroom properties in the form of an apartment in an apartment block or tower, a section of a villa, a townhouse portion or serviced apartment in a residential block or hotel.
Flats are self-contained residential units occupying part of a larger building. They are usually set out on a single storey of a building and it is for this reason that in some regions (UK, India etc.) they are referred to as "flats". The term "flat" is used in the UK, India and places that use British English. In Europe, North America and places that use American English, the word apartment is preferred. Flats have their own front door, kitchen, toilet and bathroom. In some countries a 1-bedroom apartment may be advertised as a 1bhk or 1bhk flat. The term "bhk" or "BHK" refers to bedroom, hall and kitchen. This means that the unit would have 1 bedroom, a hall (lounge/sitting room) and kitchen. Flats can be found in residential blocks or towers and sometimes even as a part of a house or villa where a whole floor or a section of it, has been separated to have its own entrance etc.
Lusail is a district in the Al Daayen municipality. The city is truly futuristic and unique in that it is the first and largest sustainable city development in Qatar. This development also known as Lusail City, is comprised of four exclusive islands and 19 districts which are used for residential, entertainment and commercial purposes, with all sorts of amenities to fulfil the needs of the local community.
The city's transport plans are ambitious, but conscious of global environmental concerns of the age. The city will have light rail network: Lusail Tram Network (designed to reduce vehicular emissions and save energy), a water taxi transportation system (which transports passengers to and from Lusail City through the Lusail marina and the main Grand Canal), cycle and pedestrian network, park and ride system (underground parking close to rail networks to encourage use of the rail network), and a shuttle bus system to connect all residential, commercial and retail areas to the public transportation system. Much of the work has already been completed.
The district is in fact designed as a "Smart City". Homes and offices will be fully automated, with a Building Management System for each building. State of the art security services will be available and the city will all be connected to smart metering, smart grid and interactive traffic management systems.
In order to create a greater sense of neighbourhood and community for residents, the city has been planned such that all facilities (i.e., schools, mosques, daily shopping and other basic commodities) can be found within walking distance in each locality. Neighbourhood gardens have also been designed for each locality. Medium and large shopping malls are located in central locations in the city to make access easier. The brand new and iconic Lusail Stadium with a capacity of over 80,000 will be the host for the opening and final matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
