1-bedroom properties are as the name suggests, those that have one allocated bedroom. They are sometimes referred to as 1 bhk, meaning 1 bedroom, a hall and a kitchen. Hazm Al Markhiya is a district of the municipality of Doha and Zone 67 of Qatar. "Hazm" refers to a natural hill and "Al Markhiya" refers to a highly drought-resistant desert plant, known locally as "markh" which grows abundantly in the local area and is considered good fodder for camels and other livestock. The district is bordered to east by Onaiza and is close to the business district of Doha as well The Pearl and West Bay Lagoon.
The area is home to several medical facilities including West Bay Health Centre which is one of the Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) centres. It is also host to the Embassies of The Republic of Venezuela and The Central African Republic. There is one international school, several nurseries and a number of local schools for all ages in the district. The area has good public transport facilities with seven bus routes serving the area that operate every day. The area is mainly residential and the majority of homes are large privately owned standalone villas, as a result there are very few homes that are available for rent in Hazm Al Markhiya.
