2-bedroom properties are as the name suggests, those that have two allocated bedrooms. This type of property would suit a couple or small family. There are 2-bedroom properties, mainly apartments that are advertised as having a separate office or maid/driver room within the apartment, some have their own attached bathroom too. It is advisable to check the facilities being offered and also the layout of the property as some agents do not always list all the amenities fully. It is possible to find 2-bedroom properties in the form of an apartment in an apartment block or tower, a penthouse, a section of a villa, a townhouse or serviced apartment in a residential block or hotel.

A compound villa is defined as a villa that is located within a residential compound or "neighbourhood/society". Compounds vary in size and can be anything from a handful of villas to hundreds in the much larger compounds. Some compounds are gated and others have the convenience of a mini supermarket for groceries, a restaurant or even a mosque. There is a wide variety of compounds in Qatar that suit most budgets and have all kinds of amenities. It is worth asking the agent about any adverts you have seen and checking the amenities with them if you are looking for anything in particular, as sometimes agents do not list all the available amenities in a compound.
Madinat Khalifa North is a district in the north west of the municipality of Doha. The district is situated between the adjacent city of Al Rayyan and downtown Doha. In the 1970s Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar at the time oversaw the development of the of the district and its neighbouring district of Madinat Khalifa South which were intended to be residential districts primarily for Qatari families.
The Doha expressway also known as Al Shamal Road (Q1) runs along the west edge of the district and five bus routes serve the area. The Madinat Khalifa North Metro station is currently under construction, and will be part of Doha Metro's Green Line once completed. The district is home to one of the Primary Health Care Corporation centres, the Madinat Khalifa Health Centre (PHCC) which serves the local and surrounding communities. There are over 10 nurseries and local schools in the area as well as one international school. The area has a large park, Dahl Al Hamam Park with an amphitheatre as well as a couple of smaller parks. There are some apartments and villas for rent in Madinat Khalifa North suitable for bachelors, couples and families and to suit all budgets.
