3-bedroom properties are as the name suggests, those that have three allocated bedrooms. This type of property would suit a small family. There are 3-bedroom properties advertised as having a separate office or maid/driver room (sometimes listed as a 3+1BR), some have their own attached bathroom too which would mean that the property technically has 4 bedrooms. It is advisable to check the facilities being offered and also the layout of the property as some agents do not always list all the amenities fully. It is also best to view any properties that interest you in person as there are many aspects of the home that you can gauge better when you visit the property.

Some compounds are gated and others have the convenience of a mini supermarket for groceries, a restaurant or even a mosque. There are compounds which are private and belong to companies offering their employees housing as part of their contract. Most international schools have residential compounds located near them and it is very easy to find good accommodation nearby for the convenience of families. There is a wide variety of compounds in Qatar that suit most budgets and have all kinds of amenities. It is worth asking the agent about any adverts you have seen and checking the amenities with them if you are looking for anything in particular, as sometimes agents do not list all the available amenities in a compound.
Madinat Khalifa North is a district in the north west of the municipality of Doha. The district is situated between the adjacent city of Al Rayyan and downtown Doha. In the 1970s Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar at the time oversaw the development of the of the district and its neighbouring district of Madinat Khalifa South which were intended to be residential districts primarily for Qatari families.
The Doha expressway also known as Al Shamal Road (Q1) runs along the west edge of the district and five bus routes serve the area. The Madinat Khalifa North Metro station is currently under construction, and will be part of Doha Metro's Green Line once completed. The district is home to one of the Primary Health Care Corporation centres, the Madinat Khalifa Health Centre (PHCC) which serves the local and surrounding communities. There are over 10 nurseries and local schools in the area as well as one international school. The area has a large park, Dahl Al Hamam Park with an amphitheatre as well as a couple of smaller parks. There are some apartments and villas for rent in Madinat Khalifa North suitable for bachelors, couples and families and to suit all budgets.
