3-bedroom properties are those that have three allocated bedrooms. They are sometimes referred to as 3 bhk, meaning 3 bedrooms, a hall and a kitchen. This type of property would suit a small family. There are 3-bedroom properties advertised as having a separate office or maid/driver room (sometimes listed as a 3+1BR), some have their own attached bathroom too which would mean that the property technically has 4 bedrooms. It is advisable to check the facilities being offered and also the layout of the property as some agents do not always list all the amenities fully. It is also best to view any properties that interest you in person as there are many aspects of the home that you can gauge better when you visit the property.
Approximately 80% of all 3-bedroom properties available for rent in Qatar are apartments in an apartment block or tower. The remaining 20% of 3-bedroom homes for rent are villas, penthouses, townhouses, or serviced apartments in a residential block or hotel.

A compound villa is defined as a villa that is located within a residential compound or "neighbourhood/society". Compounds vary in size and can be anything from a handful of villas to hundreds in the much larger compounds. Renting a villa or apartment in a compound offers many benefits such as security, maintenance, swimming pool, gym, clubhouse with various facilities, children"s play area and other sporting facilities to name a few. Some compounds are gated and others have the convenience of a mini supermarket for groceries, a restaurant or even a mosque. There are compounds which are private and belong to companies offering their employees housing as part of their contract. Most international schools have residential compounds located near them and it is very easy to find good accommodation nearby for the convenience of families. There is a wide variety of compounds in Qatar that suit most budgets and have all kinds of amenities. It is worth asking the agent about any adverts you have seen and checking the amenities with them if you are looking for anything in particular, as sometimes agents do not list all the available amenities in a compound.
Old Airport also known as "Al Matar Al Qadeem" is a district in the municipality of Doha. The district is located close to the site of Doha's old international airport which was in service as the main airport of Qatar before the construction of Hamad International Airport. Situated between the D-Ring Road on its north edge and the E-Ring Road on its south edge the district has very good road links. Al Matar Street (known in English as Old Airport Street) runs down the east edge of the district where 2 Metro stations are within easy reach. The Al Matar Al Qadeem Metro station and the Oqba Al Nafie Metro station are both on the Red Line. Najma Street runs along the west edge of the district.
There are many businesses and retailers which serve the residents of Old Airport situated on Al Matar Street. The first ever mall of Qatar which opened in 1997, known simply as "The Mall", is also located within the district next to the busy Najma roundabout. There are over 15 local and international schools that serve the area for all ages. There is a wide variety of homes available to rent in Old Airport ranging from apartments and villas with and without furniture suitable for all kinds of renters.
