5-bedroom properties are those that have five allocated bedrooms. They are sometimes referred to as 5 bhk, meaning 5 bedrooms, a hall and a kitchen. This type of property would suit a medium to large sized family. There are some 5-bedroom properties advertised as having a separate room for a maid/driver and some have their own attached bathroom too. Technically such properties would be considered to have 6 bedrooms. Over 85% of all 5-bedroom properties available for rent in Qatar are villas. The remaining 15% of 5-bedroom homes for rent are apartments, penthouses, townhouses or on the odd occasion a triplex with a large roof terrace: perfect for outdoor entertaining.
It is advisable to check the facilities being offered and also the layout of the property as some agents do not always list all the amenities fully. It is also best to view any properties that interest you in person as there are many aspects of the home that you can gauge better when you visit the property.
A villa is a property/house that is usually set out over two or more floors. In Qatar you can find two kinds of villas: either standalone villas or compound villas. A standalone villa is defined as a villa that has boundary walls and stands on its own private land as a detached and separate entity. A compound villa is defined as a villa that is located within a residential compound or "neighbourhood/society". Compounds vary in size and can be anything from a handful of villas to hundreds in the much larger compounds. Both have their benefits and drawbacks for example, standalone villas offer more privacy for their occupants and compound villas usually benefit from many more amenities, security and maintenance. There is a wide variety of villas available in Qatar with varying amenities and suitable for most budgets.
Izghawa is a district on the border between the two municipalities of Umm Salal and Al Rayyan and as a result it is part of two zones of Qatar, the west section is in zone 71 (Umm Salal) and east is in zone 51 (Al Rayyan). The district is predominantly a mixture of urban settlements, mainly in the Al Rayan portion and the rest is either undeveloped, farm land or part of Wadi Izghawa Al Gharbi (West Izghawa Valley), a valley. A beautifully landscaped and well-tended green space has been provided for residents by way of Izghawa Family Park, which also has a mosque, a children's play area, a volleyball court and a basketball court. The park is home to The Centre for the Empowerment and Care of Older Persons, which was initiated to provide services to over 60s within the community. Izghawa Metro Station is currently under construction, and will be part of Doha Metro's Green Line once complete.
The area is served by several bus routes and has good road links with the Doha expressway otherwise known as the Al Shamal Road (Q1) running along the eastern border of the district. There are both international school and local schools that serve the area for all ages and as usual there are supermarkets and plenty of shops and businesses for the needs of the local community. Izghawa is great for families and there are plenty of residential compounds with larger villas and facilities to rent, it is also possible to find apartments for rent in Izghawa too.
