6-bedroom properties are those that have six allocated bedrooms. They are sometimes referred to as 6 bhk, meaning 6 bedrooms, a hall and a kitchen. This type of property would suit a medium to large sized family. Some 6-bedroom properties are advertised as having a separate room for a maid and/or a driver and some have their own attached bathroom too. Technically such properties would be considered to have 7 or even 8 bedrooms. Almost all 6-bedroom properties available for rent in Qatar are villas. It is possible to find the odd Penthouse or triplex in the Pearl too with large roof terraces and out entertaining space. The most luxurious larger villas are commonly found in West Bay, West Bay Lagoon and in the Pearl. Larger villas are also good for housing staff and it is quite usual to see them advertised for this purpose.
It is advisable to check the facilities being offered and also the layout of the property as some agents do not always list all the amenities fully. It is also best to view any properties that interest you in person as there are many aspects of the home that you can gauge better when you visit the property.

A standalone villa is defined as a house that has boundary walls and stands on its own private land as a detached and separate entity. A compound villa is defined as a house that is located within a residential compound or "neighbourhood/society". Compounds vary in size and can be anything from a handful of houses to hundreds in the much larger compounds. Both have their benefits and drawbacks for example, standalone villas offer more privacy for their occupants and compound villas usually benefit from many more amenities, security and maintenance.
A townhouse is a type of terraced housing often referred to as "row houses" as they are constructed in rows and stand side by side with shared walls usually to both sides. Most townhouses typically have more than 2 floors and commonly three in most regions. There is a wide variety of houses available in Qatar with varying amenities and suitable for most budgets.
Old Airport also known as "Al Matar Al Qadeem" is a district in the municipality of Doha. The district is located close to the site of Doha's old international airport which was in service as the main airport of Qatar before the construction of Hamad International Airport. Situated between the D-Ring Road on its north edge and the E-Ring Road on its south edge the district has very good road links. Al Matar Street (known in English as Old Airport Street) runs down the east edge of the district where 2 Metro stations are within easy reach. The Al Matar Al Qadeem Metro station and the Oqba Al Nafie Metro station are both on the Red Line. Najma Street runs along the west edge of the district.
There are many businesses and retailers which serve the residents of Old Airport situated on Al Matar Street. The first ever mall of Qatar which opened in 1997, known simply as "The Mall", is also located within the district next to the busy Najma roundabout. There are over 15 local and international schools that serve the area for all ages. There is a wide variety of homes available to rent in Old Airport ranging from apartments and villas with and without furniture suitable for all kinds of renters.
