Al Kharaitiyat is a district in the Qatari municipality of Umm Salal. "Kharaitiyat" is the plural for the word "Khurat" which roughly translates to "map-like". The district was named so due to the land terrain being uneven with many winding patterns giving the appearance of a map.

The area has limited properties for rent and the prices for rental are cheaper than Doha.
